Starcraft II Sales
The official sales numbers are in following the initial million (1,000,000) sales on day one; Starcraft II sold over three million (3,000,000) copies in the first month. Looks like Bobby Kotick and Activision-Blizzard will be sleeping on a bed of $100 bills tonight.
Are you displeased with the $60 price of Starcraft II? Was the game worth it if you bought it? Let us know in the comments!

Hey there! Just stopped by on my daily rounds to check in, see what's going on and show some support :-) Still got a good blog here, have a nice day :-)
ReplyDeleteI dislike Bobby Kotick.
ReplyDeleteVery much so.
Hardly, It's a cool game, but nothing that i couldn't do in its prequel.
ReplyDeleteImproved graphics are not that important for a RTS in my book.
Its a good game and worth it if you think about how much gameplay there is compared to most other games released at the moment. Online play will keep you going for ages
ReplyDeletegood, lets hope then can use that money to reconsider the op terran bioball mess ;)
ReplyDeleteYea, they do deserve it.
ReplyDeleteSC2 is THE best game in a LONG time! :)
I don't think that a lot of players were disapointed about the price because a lot of them were waiting for Starcraft II since a lot of time. (It's difficult for me to give a objective opinion because I am not very aware about the Starcraft serie...)
ReplyDeletei paid 39€ from amazon.
ReplyDeleteThe game is pretty epic so I guess it's worth it to buy it
ReplyDeleteit sure was worth it!
ReplyDeleteDefinately worth it... I got the collectors edition for 1 hundo!
ReplyDeleteWell worth it I say :)
ReplyDeleteWow I really hate that greedy bastard kotick
ReplyDeleteThe game is not worth it unless you are into the multiplayer aspect of the game. However activision does benefit from the profits of blizzard games since they joined together, starcraft has nothing to do with activision. It is entirely a blizzard game and every decision about the game was decided by blizzard. Whether or not that is good or bad is up to you because that could just mean that blizzard is making poor decisions now.
ReplyDeletei want my bed to be made of 100$ bills. !! followed u mae me smile i finished starcraft 2 ... dissapointed usee. :(
ReplyDeletethey said they planned to do 1 billion $$ PROFIT by the end of the year.
ReplyDeleteseems really doable to me
go ahead an add another 2 expansions selling the same units and you have quite the pretty penny.
ReplyDeleteAs much as I hate Bobby, sc2 was worth every penny.
ReplyDeleteThe digital download was too expensive.
ReplyDeleteI haven't played the SC series, but I hear it's good. Check my blog out. I updated today.
ReplyDeletei still play the original that i stole off the internet like 9 years ago to be honest
ReplyDeleteAwesome!
ReplyDeletethey rich
ReplyDeletei wouldn't pay $60 for a game..
ReplyDeleteCool post bro
ReplyDelete$chaching$
ReplyDeleteJeez, I cannot believe they make that much in the first day.
ReplyDeletewow
ReplyDeleteDude thats crazy
ReplyDeleteMy friend's in diamond league
bobby just wants our best and you know what that is.
ReplyDeletehas anyone gotten SC2 to work on linux yet? there was a script on PlayonLinux, but there was all kinds of bugs when I tried it, first a crash, then I googledoctored that, then no video, then no sound. it's ticking me right off.
ReplyDeleteI can't even play this! My computer can't run it.
ReplyDeleteI would totally buy it for 60 if I could play it. >:C
Never played Starcraft. Should really check it out sometime.
ReplyDeleteCool blog, following.
Preordered it months ago, never went and paid the other 55 dollars and picked it up.....i think ill just stick to starcraft 1
ReplyDeleteGreedy fucking bastard, I'd lynch him if I could.

Amazing!
ReplyDeleteI bought SC2 for the campaign and custom maps.
ReplyDeleteGO GO TURRET DEFENSE!
I think $60 is a little steep for a video game.
ReplyDeleteI think it was worth it for these reasons.
ReplyDelete1. Great Single player which you be playing multiple times to get all the achievements.
2. Achievements that make game play even more fun by adding a "gotta catch them all" feel, a more competative outside the game.
3. Sweet icons online to show your Status
4. Custom maps made by other players which can be played online or with a PC
5. The game

60$ is a sum but for WC2 it's worth it.
ReplyDeletebought the game and it's not worth it! i want my money back!
ReplyDeleteA lot of people were hyped up for SC2 for a couple of years waiting for its release. A million sales on first day is impressive; I wonder how many Diablo 3 will have.
